Continuing our tradition of cutting-edge Self Management Apps and Services, we were delighted to be approached by one of the leaders in the UK Bike Locker innovation space, Bikeaway.
Simply put, Bikeaway’s Diamond-accredited cycle storage lockers are the most secure systems in the UK, and their newest locking system needed something a bit different. Something both revolutionary, and easy for users to quickly book a locker, store their cycle, and return to unlock the locker – all without a key, a phone call, or an annoying QR Code!
The result was Bike Hubs – a fully designed and developed solution by Mission Control – including a Self Management and Booking system (all within App or via our handy Website), a full NFC-enabled unlocking solution, and a set of alerts and notifications to remind users when their session is coming to an end, and prompt them to extend their time. All of this has been designed with the lockers requiring no WiFi or Mobile connection of their – and the user simply needed the Mobile App to receive their unlock codes at their booked times.
From the cross-platform Mobile App design (developed in Flutter with a responsive design) to our online Web-based Booking Engine, to a full Admin Interface for Bikeaway staff to support and managed users throughout their bookings, the comprehensive Self Management Solution has set the standard for Bike Locker rental across a multitude of Rail Stations and public venues in the UK.
And with a number of ongoing enhancements and features set to roll out later in 2025, there is a LOT to look forward to for cyclists around the UK!
